Graff is one of five companies owned by Meridian International
Group, located in Milwaukee, WI. Meridian has produced faucets,
valves, shower components and other machine products for some of
the world's leading plumbing companies since the early 1970s.
In order to meet the increasing demands of the American market,
Meridian acquired a European valve and faucet manufacturer, Valvex.
Founded in 1922, Valvex had a long history of producing high
quality plumbing products for the European market.
This new addition allowed Meridian to take on additional OEM
plumbing and machining contracts, including the number one
manufacturer of American motorcycles. Business has continued to
grow through the 1970s, 80s and early 90s.
During the 1990s the American plumbing market were beginning to
change. It became increasingly noticeable that American and
European manufacturers began to source components and complete
products from Asia. The founder of Meridian International Group
decided that these products did not carry the same commitment to
quality as those made in America and Europe. This insight led to
the creation of Graff, a brand that was pure in its origin.
Today Graff products are designed in America and manufactured in
Europe. This process ensures American style and quality with a rich
tradition of old world craftsmanship. Graff’s unique manufacturing
commitment, excellent quality, and avant-garde cutting edge designs
have carried the brand from America and Europe to Eastern and South
American markets.
Graff is growing at an incredible pace and gaining a strong
foothold in the decorative plumbing fixture market. With over 1,000
employees in Milwaukee, WI and Europe, Graff’s commitment to the
American market is evident. Through quality, design, and
responsiveness to the markets needs, Graff will continue to grow.
